The Google Phenomena (Google Sandbox)

The Google Sandbox is a temporary hold that is placed on new websites. During the time spent in the Google sandbox, your site will not be ranked according to your keywords and keyword phrases. Even with good content and many incoming links, a site will still be negatively affected by the sandbox effect.
Why did Google Create a Sandbox?
As webmasters figured out the basic elements of Google’s ranking algorithm, search engine spammers began to take advantage of these elements. They would setup websites that were in violation of Google’s policies. The idea for spammers was to take advantage of Google’s traffic for as long as they can (before they get banned), then do it all over again with a new website. The method was extremely effective and easy to implement.
All types of sites can be placed in the Sandbox. Sites using highly competitive keywords and key phrases may spend more time in the sandbox than sites that have very little or insignificant keywords. The average time in the sandbox is one to six months.
How do you know if you are in the sandbox?
First, determine if Google has crawled your website. Check your URL here https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/sitestatus . Next, type in your keywords or key phrases that will be used to find your website. If you are nowhere to be found on any page, then you are probably in the sandbox.
